This may sound like absurd babbling, however I have a real problem with individuals in the service industry and the “service” they provide. I’m curious, how was your service today? All the problems we are facing in the world today, and I’m willing to dedicate a blog to this? Yes! I’m sick and tired of terrible service and I want to talk about it…join me?

What's with the Attitude?
So I went to Harmon's today to get my vegetables and I just love everything about Harmon's. I found all the veggies I was looking for and more, they were fresh and crispy, etc. I spun around to the area where they sell the Cuisinart appliances and other kitchen gadgets and struck up a conversation with an employee about cooking a roast. That led to pressure cookers, then to coffee machines and inevitably life. She offered wonderful customer service, but then again I just expect this from Harmon's. So at last my shopping trip was over and I headed for the checkout, I chose the shortest line and browsed the tabloid magazines until my turn. Well I'll be if I didn't get a checker with an attitude! I'm always very polite; however I give them a chance to greet me as it's in their job description. She had a bad attitude at go and I was so disappointed...she didn't even ask me if I wanted stamps or ice. I'll give her one thing though; I got my bag credits without asking.

Chick-fil-A, a gas station and Hungry Howie's Pizza
I made purchases from these retailers today and I have only one thing to say..."It was my pleasure". I say this because that is the farewell used by Chick-fil-A, and it really bugged me. I don't want to be fed your greasy, delicious chicken and told it was your pleasure frying it up and putting it in the bag. All I ask for is a genuine greeting and farewell, even if it's "Hello & Goodbye".
We're lucky this is all I have to say today...until tomorrow.
